Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: At the world-famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, devotees witnessed a serene yet radiant form of Lord Mahakal during the Friday Bhasma Aarti as the sanctum doors opened early morning.
The Jyotirlinga was adorned with the traditional Bhasma lepan, complemented by a finely crafted facial depiction. The decorated eyes, prominent Tripundra on the forehead, and the clearly visible third eye gave the form a calm, divine presence.
Floral Grandeur and Silver Embellishments
For today’s shringar, the Jyotirlinga was placed on a silver base and surrounded by a dense arrangement of fragrant flowers.
A floral crown adorned the head, while garlands were placed in all four directions. Fruits and sweets were offered below as part of the naivedya.
After the sacred offering of Bhasma, the silver ornaments further enhanced Baba Mahakal’s appearance, making the form appear gentle, tangible, and deeply compassionate to devotees.
A Sanctum Filled with Shiva Consciousness
As Vedic chants echoed inside the sanctum, accompanied by the sound of temple bells and glowing lamps, the atmosphere turned completely Shivamay.
A large number of devotees gathered for the Bhasma Aarti, offering prayers for peace, well-being, and spiritual strength.
