Rosamund Pike, born in 1979 in London to opera singers, began her acting career in stage productions like Romeo and Juliet at the National Youth Theatre. 

Pike's film debut as Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day (2002) led to roles in period dramas such as The Libertine and Pride & Prejudice (2005). 

From 2011 to 2013, she appeared in mainstream films including Johnny English Reborn, Wrath of the Titans, Jack Reacher, and The World's End. 

Her starring role as Amy Dunne in Gone Girl (2014) earned her critical acclaim and nominations for major awards including the BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Academy Award. 

Pike played significant roles in A United Kingdom (2016) and A Private War (2018), where she portrayed war correspondent Marie Colvin. 

She won a Primetime Emmy for State of the Union (2019) and a Golden Globe for I Care a Lot (2020). In 2021, she starred in Amazon's The Wheel of Time. 

Pike's early life involved attending Badminton School and Wadham College, Oxford, where she graduated with honors in English literature while gaining stage experience. 

Her television career included appearances in shows like A Rather English Marriage (1998) and Love in a Cold Climate (2001) before her breakthrough in film. 

Pike's later notable works include voice roles in Thunderbirds Are Go, starring in Massive Attack's music video, and leading roles in films like The Informer and Radioactive. 

Personal life includes relationships with Simon Woods and Joe Wright, and a long-term partnership with Robie Uniacke, with whom she has two sons and resides in Prague.
