Gemma Arterton, born 2 February 1986, is an English actress, debuting on stage in "Love's Labour's Lost" at the Globe Theatre in 2007.

She made her film debut in the comedy "St Trinian's" (2007), and gained recognition as Bond Girl Strawberry Fields in "Quantum of Solace" (2008).

Arterton's role in "Quantum of Solace" won her the Empire Award for Best Newcomer, and she later starred as Agent Galahad in "The King's Man" (2021).

Her filmography includes "The Disappearance of Alice Creed" (2009), "Tamara Drewe" (2010), and "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" (2010).

She also starred in "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" (2013), "Their Finest" (2016), "The Escape" (2017), and "Vita and Virginia" (2018).

Arterton received the Harper's Bazaar Woman of the Year Award for her role in "The Escape," and produced it as well.

Her theater work includes "The Duchess of Malfi" (2014), "Made in Dagenham" (2014), "Nell Gwynn" (2016), and "Saint Joan" (2017).

She was nominated for Olivier Awards for "Nell Gwynn" and "Made in Dagenham," winning the Evening Standard Theatre Award for the latter.

 Since 2016, she has led Rebel Park Productions, focusing on female-led content both in front of and behind the camera.

Born with polydactyly, Arterton grew up in Gravesend, attended Gravesend Grammar School, Miskin Theatre, and graduated from RADA in 2008.
