The band's success was fueled by their eponymous TV show, leading to international fame.

They had four chart-topping albums and three chart-topping songs, selling over 75 million records worldwide.

Originally a fictional band for a NBC sitcom, they became a real band with music released in 1966.

Despite initially performing as a group, each member soon pursued solo interests under the Monkees' name.

Allegations of not playing their own instruments, coupled with declining chart success, led to the band's dissolution by 1970.

A revival in 1986 sparked a 20th anniversary reunion, followed by sporadic reunions and new albums over the next 35 years.

After the deaths of Jones in 2012 and Tork in 2019, Dolenz and Nesmith embarked on a farewell tour in 2021.

The farewell tour concluded just before Nesmith's death at the end of 2021, marking the end of The Monkees era.
